Today is January 23, 2020. Over a year has gone by on this RV trip. We have had ups and downs. The adventure has been amazing. We have learned what it is to find love in a community as an outsider, experiencing the cold of the desert. We have seen the love of God come from complete strangers. This time last year we were learning how amazing New Mexico is.
Today we are sitting in my sister's backyard, after the last 60 days wiped out our savings, and we are back to living paycheck to paycheck. Fear overcomes me of what our future looks like. I am not sure how God is going to come through this time around, says the internal dialog. Fear is a liar, the words continue to ring through as I listen to the music streaming through my headphones. Tears are rolling as I try to find some words from above saying you will get through this. We all have struggles, honestly seeing the struggle families go through during transition is really what brought our business to this point. Every day we work with families who have a loved one that is living in squalor and wants to help turn it around. We work with people just stressed out after a week of moving from one apartment to another and just can't muster the strength to clean the old place to meet a landlord's demands. Life is hard, but God is good. We know there is someone reading this just looking for inspiration today. Know this God has not given up on you yet. You are not alone and you will get through this.
Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
